Hey, thanks for checking out my profile.

I am not at all interested in leaving my marriage and my family, but am interested in a VERY discreet, intimate friendship. I'm looking for romance, good conversation and laughter.

I've a dry, acerbic and often dark sense of humour with a healthy line in self-deprecation, but I'm also unassuming, pragmatic and (if one can ignore the irony) ethical. I generally can't abide small talk and like to move straight onto the most interesting aspects of situations and people.

Physically, I am 5"10, with blue eyes and I am not "ripped" in any sense. I mean, I do have a six-pack somewhere in there, in a stuffed 'carrier bag'. I am shaven-headed, primarily because I wanted to avoid the appearance of "hanging onto" it. I'm fastidiously clean and am reasonably well-presented, without crossing the line from pride into the depths of vanity.

In terms of a day/night out I like to; eat at good & unpretentious restaurants, or at a pub with a real fire, or to spend time at a food market. I love to cook and bake (indoors and outdoors). Otherwise, I feel at home when lost in nature.

I listen to podcasts (food, comedy, politics) and I'm predominantly into rock music, but latterly I've enjoyed listening to both classical music (getting old?) and (vicariously, through my children) *some* pop music (getting younger?).

Ideal Partner:

I am looking for very discreet connection and intimacy with one woman. However, before anything else I need to develop a "connection" with that person.

My preference is for a woman who is in reasonable shape, but I don't have particular preferred looks "profile" in terms of skin/hair colour, height etc etc. If that someone were also funny, curious and conversational, that'd be great.

N.B. If you're not sufficiently bothered to write your own profile, then I'm suspicious of how invested you are in this. Also. if your way of describing your "personality" is to inanely state that you "enjoy the finer things in life", then we're not suited. You're loss, obviously.
