Friendly, articulate, independent-minded, affectionate, fifty-something, good listener with a dry sense of humour, looking to get to know someone in a similar situation that needs something more.

Hopefully we can chat, eventually meet, get to know each other over a nice meal or drink and who knows where it might lead?

My favourite activity is a nice long walk in the countryside or the hills. It would be nice to share it with someone now and again.

While I'm no oil painting, I try to eat reasonably well and keep in good shape.

People used to tell me I looked young for my age, although that was before I grew a "corona-beard" (the amount of grey in it was something of a shock!) It might come off at some point but right now I quite like it.

I don't want to write an essay on my marriage. Let's just say that it was a terrible mistake to marry a "make do" bride. The one saving grace is that we coexist reasonably peacefully but there's no warmth or affection between us. There's something missing, a hole in my life, that I hope to fill here.

Ideal Partner:

Ideally I'd like to find someone in a similar situation to spend "us" time with. Can't say I have particular preferences around looks, age, size etc. Someone likeable and genuine would be a start. It's the eyes, the voice and the personality that draw me in.
