About Me:

I am in my late 60’s although people generally think I’m a lot younger. I’m in fairly good shape physically and I guess I don’t act my age! I am adjusting to retirement after a long working life which provided opportunities to travel to many parts of the world and see life off the usual tourist places in Africa, Asia and South America, as well as most countries in Europe and USA/Canada. I’m finding that change from full-time work quite hard so still keep quite busy with mainly voluntary work for charities. I have always had a strong sense of responsibility and putting others first, and feel it’s time to do something for myself for a change, which is why I’ve joined this site.

I’ve been married for nearly 40 years and my wife and I have dealt with quite a lot of problems in that time. I’m proud that we’ve stayed together but sadly it has virtually destroyed any physical relationship between us. Following some medical issues, my wife has found intercourse painful for many years and is not comfortable with other forms of intimacy that might replace that. I hope to find a close friendship that can provide what I currently miss. I am thoughtful and caring so don’t feel comfortable just using someone for sex and having read a lot about polyamory, I’m hoping that it exists in real life. I believe I am thoughtful and considerate so I don’t expect someone to just respond to my needs, and I realise that I have to bring something to any relationship. I’m genuinely interested in other people so one of the attractions of doing this is getting close to someone new.

That possibly all sounds quite serious and I know that’s often people’s first impression of me, along with being a bit shy and reserved, but there is definitely another side to me, which has probably been a bit repressed for many years.

I’ve never been one for hobbies and in my spare time I read a lot, listen to music and enjoy films and (occasionally) theatre. I like being outdoors and going for walks. I lived in big cities for most of my life and only moved to the Sussex coast recently so really enjoy being able to walk to the seafront every day. I enjoy good food in nice surroundings but don’t particularly like fancy restaurants. My favourite meal out or takeaway is probably Asian food and I could eat a Pad Thai anytime – even for breakfast!

Ideal Partner:

I don’t have any particular expectations about physical appearance or sexual preferences. I don’t have a lot of experience of intimate relationships so there’s a lot for me to discover. It’s important that someone has a fairly similar outlook on life, is discreet and hasn’t approached this sort of thing without a lot of thought, but apart from that, I’m open to meet women of a similar age to myself and from any background. It would be great to meet someone who is not too far away from where I live but probably anywhere in the London or the South East is manageable.
