About Me:

A well-preserved classic model, in generally good condition. Two previous lady owners. The modest sized engine can deliver excellent horse power, despite having been parked for many years due to the current owner's aversion to driving. Generally rust free although paintwork may be peeling in places. In need of some TLC and the occasional spin in the country. Hoping to be put to some good use before being placed on permanent display in the National Motorcar Museum. All original features intact, promising a smooth and satisfying ride for the discerning driver.

Ideal Partner:

I find intelligence, wit and a keen interest in the world far more attractive than the curvature of a bottom or the fullness of breasts. In my opinion, what we end up loving over time in a partner are the small imperfections of their body, the things that make their physicality unique. No amount of silicone or sweat on a gym’s floor could ever compensate for dullness.

Fifteen years ago, having realised with some consternation that my marriage was no longer a contact sport, I embarked on a brief affair here on IE. I must confess I was pleasantly surprised to see it still going after all this time. I met a wonderful woman here (are we still allowed to say ‘woman’?), but the subterfuge involved in covering up our liaisons felt alien to my nature and too much of a risk at a time when my children were still young.

After a decade and a half of celibacy, the children are now flying the nest, and my hope is that it may not be too late to aspire to some intimacy, tenderness, and the comfort of human touch. I don’t wish to sound desperate. I am not and am acutely aware of how off-putting that can be. I write these lines with some trepidation as I deliberate whether this may be a selfish act on my part.

I am looking for someone that is not a lot younger than me. One discreet partner that would rejoice in the rediscovery of those aspects of our lives that have become absent from our marriages. Are you that person?
