About Me:
I was given a fortune cookie at the weekend, it said, “You won’t be bored for long! New adventures are on their way” – maybe a pointer to an IE experience.
Now what to put in here…
Friends would generally describe me as easy going, positive and open-minded. I don’t take myself too seriously and I’m up for trying new things, afterall you can’t say you don’t like something unless you’ve tried it. (how many years were spent saying this to the kids).
I mix with, and get on well with, most people, taking them as I find them. I am not the most loudly gragarious in a new crowd, prefering to quietly find my way & enjoy the intimacy of one to one time. I am pretty self-sufficient but love to be with those I choose to be with.
Putting a bit more detail on the profile headings: I’m slim and fairly fit, 5’11”(& a bit) with brown(ish) eyes and hair that is transitioning from brown. I keep myself in trim with running, swimming, regular working out (but I’m not a gym fanatic) with the occasional pilates/yoga/fitness class thrown in.
At home, I tend to be fairly casual most of the time, jeans and shirt/tee, but also like to smarten up for the occasion & fancy dress isn’t unknown, if it’s that kind of party.
The interests headline list is limiting, and I might put some more in here in time, but meanwhile why not ask me about them.. Musical tastes are quite broad mainly within pop/rock, of course I have some favourites though I will listen to and enjoy anything that catches my ear – a music magpie you could say.
My favourite places to be are on the hills/mountains or coast, walking in the big skies, ideally in good company. Having said that, when the company is special, I’ll be happy anywhere.
What do I do for a living? I am a professional engineer and run my own small consultancy. So I have some freedom with my diary during the week, during the day & for occasional evenings.
Along time married (no surprise there given this is IE), with offspring who’ve flown the nest, so appreciate and would honour your discretion. Looking for that someone to share some fun with.

I won’t try to pigeon hole this as there are so many different things that make people special, it’s something about your being and a few words here could not describe them.
Having said that, to use a cliché … it hads to be someone with whom there is a mutual spark (of attraction),
For me that’s; a sparkle in the eye, a bit of magic in the smile, a curve that catches the eye (I will admit here to being a legs and bum man. Hopefully that does not put you off)
Someone who it is fun to be with and that I can have the pleasure of giving pleasure to.
