Hi, thanks for visiting my profile.

It’s certainly with a little bit of a heavy heart that I’ve decided to join IE but, probably like most on here, I’m not really ready to settle for the ‘comfortable life’ yet without any real excitement or intimacy. There’s still plenty miles left on the clock yet!

I have been married for 30 years+ and have absolutely no desire to rock any boats regarding anyone’s current situation and 100% discretion is asked for and guaranteed in return.

Maybe it’s entering my late 50s that have prompted this, but i certainly don’t feel my age and I am told by others that I look younger than I am. I try and keep myself fit - although no slave to the gym - and would describe myself as slim/average build and 5’ 11 tall. I like to dress well, be that in casuals or smart and always like to smell good (thanks to my daughters for always buying me some great new stuff!).

I’ve recently retired (very early retirement!) so have understandably time on my hands to meet the right person. I’m not looking to work my way through IE, rather looking to meet one special person - I’m sure we’ll know each other once we start talking.

I enjoy nice walks in the countryside, a good book to read, going to the theatre, a nice meal and a good bottle of wine and runs in my classic car, followed by a stay at a nice hotel.

I would rather meet someone fairly local (although too close might create problems) but I am able to travel for the right person.

I’m not sure I could commit to weekly meetings, but would hopefully be able to meet on a fairly regular basis, and with plenty of chats in between. I do travel the country fairly regularly in connection with my hobbies, but I’m not sure that would be sufficient contact for anything long distance, but I’m always open to exploring this.

Immediate thoughts are someone who is honest and sincere, perhaps not too loud and who dresses well, be that in either casual or formal and who can hold a good conversation.
