I have a creative bent, especially the history and modelling of 17th century sailing ships of the English Navy. By profession I am an engineer and have travelled the world during my working life, my favourite overseas country is Japan, but I no longer travel abroad and am content to stay within the UK for holidays. Airports lost their charm many years ago!
I enjoy the countryside and towns with history be it industrial, architectural, or cultural, such as museums and art galleries. Music is an important part of my leisure time be it classical orchestra, organ, ballet, rock, or choral works. I enjoy a pre-theatre dinner followed by a concert, or just an evening dinner with good company.
