I live by some personal mantras which are important to me. I don't always get it right (we're all human), but I do my best...

* It's imagination to think we know what other people are thinking. Worse still, if we ask them, we're unlikely to get the truth. So why waste time worrying about what you think other people think?
* There's no point worrying about stuff you can't control, like the weather, how your neighbour mows the lawn, or what other people may choose to think about you. Stop being a Karen and focus on your own personal growth and story.
* Your only responsibility in life is to be happy
* It's a choice to feel angry, frustrated, or hurt. We get to choose how we feel. How great is that?
* I have a growth mindset, not a fixed one. Yes, I am sometimes wrong. Only sometimes.

First off, I'm married and I do not wish to change that. I love, respect, and care for my wife and family deeply, but physical intimacy is non-existent and frankly, I have needs. We all do. I need to laugh, proper belly laughs, I need to feel excited, nervous, intrigued. I need to find some butterflies. I need to feel connection, both emotionally and physically. I'm not going to sleep with someone I don't like or feel a connection with. I’m also monogamously unfaithful, so I'm only looking for one person to enjoy flirting, connection, and intimacy with.

I’m an organic country-side lover. I like country walks over nightclubs. I prefer to be stuck behind a tractor than racing in a Porsche. I wear jeans, shirt, and wellies, mostly. I like my beard and it’s staying. I recycle, I’m mostly vegan (except for an occasional bacon butty) and I like cider. I'm bright and well-educated. I used to fly helicopters in the Royal Navy.

I'm masters degree-educated, well-spoken, and a conservative/lib dem voter. Definitely not a socialist. I occasionally wear a tweed jacket and red trousers, at Christmas. I like wearing black tie and will actually tie the bow. Traditional would be a fair sentiment.

I have read, enjoyed, and connected with the message of Brene Brown, and others of similar ilk. I consider myself a practising stoic. When you know, you know. Unfortunately, it does mean I don't suffer egotistical twozzocks gladly. I've recently read Girl Boner which was a fascinating insight into gender inequality and sexual identity.

I cannot accommodate and generally speaking, can only make daytime meets. Evenings and weekends will be possible, just a little more challenging. I'm not going to be travelling to London, Birmingham, Essex and the like to meet you, so unless you are in the south-west (Bath, Bristol, Exeter, Bournemouth sort of areas) then it's unlikely to go anywhere.

Do you have a fixed or a growth mindset?

You’ll be open-minded, discreet, and caring. I like both shy and bubbly personalities, but you also need to know what you want and not be afraid to ask. You’ll probably be married and not wishing to change your situation, but, like me, you’re looking for some excitement.

To be frank, quite why we have built a society where we're allowed to have platonic friends, but shagging them isn't permitted is rather beyond me. Who decided that eh?

You’ll probably be well-educated and well-spoken. You’ll be a country girl, as happy walking in the rain with sodden hair and not caring, as dressing up for the theatre. You’ll be down-to-earth and not take yourself too seriously. You probably don't spend aeons preening your make-up in front of the mirror every day because you are secure in who you are.

Whilst I'd love to travel to London to see you on a regular basis, it isn't going to happen. So I'm only really looking for someone local-ish: South-West. Kind of inside that area preferably, but hey, if you're real special and we really connect, I'm sure I'd find a way to fly to Timbuctoo every weekend.
