Windswept and Interesting!

About Me:

Well hello!
I like to think I'm a young at heart 50-something lady who likes to keep herself fit (or as fit as possible considering we've all been in lockdown since EVER!) I have now reached that wonderful stage of life where I no longer need to work, so I am free to fill my days with leisure pursuits, which include walking, horse riding, reading, yoga, gardening, doing family ancestry research and dressmaking. I don't often get bored but am really looking forward to the relaxation of lockdown rules when we can all get out and do the things we enjoy again, like see friends, go to live music gigs, go to the pub and to restaurants...

My favourite holiday destination? Well, all things considered I'd be happy to go anywhere at the moment, but if pushed I'd have to say I'd love to revisit Iceland. I went there years ago and was blown away by it's beauty, diversity of landscapes and the size of the waterfalls they have there. Not to mention the chance to see the Northern Lights, which is definitely on my 'bucket list'! At the moment though I just enjoy watching TV programmes about all the beautiful and interesting places there are out there to discover.

I've felt lucky during the lockdown period that I live in an area surrounded by countryside so it has been easy to get out whenever I start feeling 'stir crazy'. Despite the way the world has changed so dramatically in the last year, I am an optimist at heart and have found some of the stories that have come to light of people's kindness and strength throughout these challenging times really inspiring.

Ideal Partner:

I'd be happy to explain more about my situation once I find someone I click with, but to keep it short, I'm happy with many aspects of my present relationship except one. I don't want to upset anyone else's life and am just looking for someone probably in a similar situation to me, who understands the need for absolute confidentiality, who won't go gossiping about what they're up to, but who is just looking to put a bit of excitement and passion back into their life.

I've learned not to pre-judge people by how old they are, so I'm quite flexible about that in a partner. It's more important to me to find someone interesting and stimulating to be with, however often that happens.

I would prefer someone slim to medium build, who takes care of their body but realistically I am not expecting any Olympic athletes or film stars! A non-smoker is an absolute must (and I will know if you aren't being honest about that, believe me!). Again, it's far more about how we get on that is important to me.
