About Me:

I am a bright, warm, affectionate, tactile woman, looking initially for a good friend who, if circumstances and chemistry are right, could become much more. I am not looking for an exit from my happy, companionable marriage. But, ultimately, I am seeking a relationship - key word - that is more than 'no strings fun', which, to me, implies the most fleeting level of acquaintance. I am seeking someone in my life who is relatively long-term and who, emphatically, is NOT a stud! I have absolutely no interest in being just a notch on your bedpost - so no players required. We need to be on the same wavelength and enjoy the delightfully humorous aspects of life - and would also like someone who is warm, bright, caring, sensitive, a good listener as well as a talker. A more mature relationship always appeals - I love the quiet confidence and, generally, realistic expectations of most older men. I am looking for someone who is not in any great rush, who is patient and kind, gentle and realistic. I've been told lots of times that I don't look my age, but I must emphasise that I AM still this age chronologically - I am not trying to fool myself, or you! Would love to meet someone who enjoys great books, excellent films, interesting travel, good food and wine. Detest text-speak and find 'lol' the biggest turn-off - just sounds far too pre-pubescent. And please don't bother sending me a virtual kiss - it's just too lazy and I will never respond to one. If you like the sound of me, then write to me - and engage with me, reveal something of your delightful personality, don't just go for the ultimate cop out of 'how are you today?' or 'want to chat?'. Be inspiring. Flirt with me. Be witty (love that). I am absolutely not hung up on people's looks. What is more important to me is to feel an empathy, an understanding, a sense of similar values. But, naturally, there does need to be a mutual spark of desire in order to ignite a relationship - and that cannot be engineered. My best features - I'm good, relaxing company, very affectionate, and have a great sense of humour. I am kind, accepting and an attentive listener. Whether you are attracted to me or not depends on individual preferences. And vice-versa, naturally. I like to relax so my dress is modern casual, though I also like dressing up for special occasions.

Ideal Partner:

For me, a compatible personality wins over looks - if we can talk and laugh together then it's an auspicious beginning. The qualities that are important to me are: warmth, someone tactile, bright, sophisticated, literate, emotionally secure and mature. Especially mature in attitude. I am not looking for a string of contacts, or a player, but for someone special - someone genuine, nice, comfortable with themselves and their life, articulate, honest (within the confines of this kind of relationship, I do appreciate the irony!). I like kindness, intelligence, a dry sense of humour, a quick wit and genuine warmth. I have had an extremely long-term affair previously, which was wonderful and entirely discreet - but, sadly, circumstances changed. If I could have this kind of long-term, mutually rewarding, mutually affectionate relationship again it would be amazing. But I would also like to meet someone who is not in a rush. That's where that mature attitude comes in again. I'd like us to get to know each other and like each other, to be friends as well as lovers. For me, that enhances all experiences.
