About Me:

I don't know why but despite me stating (nicely) that I'm only looking in or near the Bristol area, I am getting messages from women mostly in and around London (Essex / Kent / Herts / etc).

It is very frustrating and a waste of your time and effort as I won't respond!

Looks wise, I'm average build - and I do try to keep active and fit by cycling, swimming and going to the gym a few times a week (well - at least when we're not in lockdown).

I'm reasonably tall (1.8m) and broad shouldered - with all my own teeth and a full head of light brown hair. I have blue eyes and also have a very neatly trimmed beard. I'm told I look a bit like Russell Crowe (the actor in the film Gladiator) - I can't see it myself.... but others have said, including complete strangers. I'm also told I look younger than my actual years - so don't be put off by a number!

I have a great sense of humour and never take myself too seriously. Used to be a bit of a party animal but a good bit quieter now! I'm imaginative, creative and playful and sometimes a bit of an adrenalin junkie. I'm warm, tactile and very generous in an intimate situation.

As well as art, theatre and cinema, I enjoy fast cars, flying and scuba diving (in warm waters of course) but not all at the same time. I play guitar a little and sing reasonably well (ballads generally). I'm a fairly good cook and enjoy good food and wine. I love to travel and particularly to explore historical sites (Greece and Italy are firm favourites) although the far east holds a special place in my memories, as does going on safari in Africa.

TV I watch - well I prefer Line of Duty and Mr. Robot to Eastenders or Great British Bake Off (sorry ladies). I'm generally quite open minded but politically vaguely left of centre. Musically I prefer Pink Floyd and BBC Radio 4 to Hip Hop and Radio 1.

From the academic side of things, I'm university educated, I'm an architect by training and background but have worked in the construction field as a project manager for many years and currently run my own small consultancy.

I'm married - kids grown and moved and I'm now seeking additional fun and something that goes wherever it leads me. I can be spontaneous and very discreet and I certainly won't intrude on whatever relationship you currently have. I have excellent manners, an ability to mix well in any social situation and I know how to treat a lady with kindness, dignity and respect.

I'm looking for someone close to me (geographically speaking) - anything more than say 20 or so miles away or a lot more than half an hour's drive just isn't, logically, going to be feasible for casual daytime liaisons.

I'm keeping a very open mind - I have no fixed ideas and am looking to see who is out there with a similar mindset and tastes who fancies some daytime distraction and occasional fun. I'm not a serial philanderer (this is my first time on a site like this) and I'm seeking just one special person who can make me feel young again. For me, there has to be mutual chemistry - some kind of 'spark' for anything to work as it should.

For preference, I'm looking for someone younger than me. Someone attractive, with average to slim build who enjoys keeping fit and active and seeks some excitement and intimacy that is not generally available in their current relationship.
