How do you sum up a personality or a life in just a few words, however well crafted? For the moment, I'm not going to try...
Let's just say if the following Amerindian saying evokes the response 'Yea', then maybe we're on the same wavelength...

Although I've just put 'Nature' in my profile, I've so many interests apart from wildlife and landscape....
All forms of music, especially live blues, folk & jazz. If I had to choose two pieces - Vaughan Williams 'Lark Ascending' and Fleetwood Mac's 'Albatross' - they never fail to make my heart soar...
Literature, prose & poetry though it's the latter that really touches my soul...
Hard to pick a favourite poet though Emily Dickinson, John Clare & Mary Oliver would all feature... Check out the latter's "The Summer Day'...
Art - again impossible to chose, but Eric Ravilious would be right up there.
My climbing & running days are over, but I still live to walk, walk to live! I love both coast and mountains...
Few pleasures match wandering barefoot over a sandy beach, especially hand in hand with someone!
Such joy to wander the wild places, based in a cottage nestling beneath the fells with just the sound of birdsong to gently awaken in the morning...
Good food... and cider (I'm still a country boy at heart), the latter preferably supped in an old fashioned pub!
That will probably do for the moment!
