About Me:

Oh, the bit everyone hates, I suspect. I'm not sure if any encounter I make here is illicit from my perspective as I'm separated. Sounds like the beginning of a debate!





Early 50s. I go to the gym 3-4 times a week in an effort to maintain my 14st 7lb or under target, which I'm managing. 14st would be great but have I the will power? I also play golf and try and pretend it's exercise.





I'm also a passionate follower of cricket, though my playing days are over. Can't do golf and cricket in the same weekend and leave time for other things.... like a date, hopefully.





I like films and music. Pretty much most of both with the notable exception of gangster rap and associated garbage. If this makes me sound like a candidate for a slot on Grumpy Old Men, so be it.





I've been told my company is good and my sense of humour is sharp.. but then who wouldn't say that about themselves?







Difficult to describe an ideal date. Meeting for a drink and a chat- coffee or G&T, I'm flexible and see how it goes from there.





Well, this is in danger of turning into an essay, which is surprising as I err on the reserved side initially. Does this contradict being on this site? Another debate looming! I'm 5' 10" though this seems to vary depending on who does the measuring and 14st. Average seems such a poor word to describe my build, but it's about right. Probably got a little too much round the waist, but a long way from being a lardy!

I'm really unsure what my best features would be, but the eyes if I had to pick.

Light brown hair, which I admit, is thinning, so all your hirsute lovers out there, click away now!

I dress smartly for work, so tend to scruff it when around the house, but 'casually smart' or 'smartly casual' describes my regular going out attire.

I haven't parked a photo up here because I lived life in a bit of a goldfish bowl following my separation and I want this online presence to a little less public, but if you're interested, I'm sure this can be worked around.

Ideal Partner:

I'd like to meet someone who is looking for company, in its widest sense. Naturally attractiveness is important but not everything, and who defines that anyway? After all, Liza Minelli must have seen something in David Guest! Don't ask me what though.
I don't think I want a long term relationship just yet, but I do miss the company of the fairer sex and a spot of hand holding on/in the beach/forest... wherever. If that then lead to a reckless peck on the cheek, well...!
