I have just listened to the Womans Hour article and wanted to get in touch to say that i thought Rosie was terrific - keeping calm, being articulate and elequent in what she said. Without your site i would have have been a depply sad angry person - instead i found passion and desire and a lovely man who made me feel amazine. We understood right from the start that this was not ever going to turn into a love affair and when things looked as though they might get difficult for him at home our relationship ended amicably. How can I stop people contacting me?
Sometimes you may decide that you do not want any more contact from an individual, perhaps they are too keen, or won't take your hints that you are not interested. To do this you open your message from them in your mailbox and click on the option to block user. Alternatively you can do this from the IM facility too. There is a link to block user on the page. You will see a link to blocked users at the top of the page, so you can go in and check who you have blocked and cancel these if you change your mind.
Alternatively, there may be times when you want to put your membership on hold; you may have met someone that you are happy with or you may want a break from the site for other reasons. You can suspend your membership, which means that your profile is invisible to others, but it remains on the site for you to reactivate at any time. To do this you need to login and go to the members area, click on profile and select the "suspend profile" option. You will see the link to reactivate your profile underneath.
If you suspend your profile you will not be viewed in Search results or the Who's Online page, but members that have a link to your profile either from a mail, virtual kiss, favourites, or address book will be able to view you from this link and contact you. No other members will be able to see you.
