Meeting my IE for the first time...
I am planning on meeting my IE for the first time. We have spent a lot of time talking and now we want to make things happen in person. Where can we meet? What hotels allow for 'day room' access?

"Trouble With Distance" ... distance is never a problem at the start when they are keen BUT as the novelty of new liaison wears off, distance suddenly becomes a problem!

Only negative because of experience my dear. Your experience sounds like you both just wanted a release of frustration due to the first lockdown, plus you say it didn’t work out due to distance... that says a lot.
Ok he may not have been a complete nutter, but it happens, trust me

Feel like people are being a bit negative here. I met my first IE in a hotel after chatting for ages last year when the first lockdown ended, we had a lovely afternoon and he was even better in person than I could have imagined. Things didn’t work out long term unfortunately due to distance but he is now one of my best friends! I truly believe when you know you know and we just clicked from day one.

Most chain hotels especially Hilton premiere etc have day time rooms at 25% discount
I’ve used them for “work purpose” regularly
But from Monday they’re open I believe

Speak for yourself. Many blokes want far more than just a bonk.

Yep completely agree with you but there are plenty of flakey women on here that are looking for just that!

Meet for an hour or so for coffee or whatever, or at the most two for lunch first in a discreet but public place. You absolutely must meet in person before you even think about booking a room.
If you dont feel the chemistry at your first meeting there are no expectations or commitments or risks and you can leave easily without any awkwardness, or, hopefully, fallout.

Definitely don’t book a room for a first meet!
Halitosis, un-trimmed nose/ear hairs, dirty fingernails. unpleasant body odour or poor kissing skills are among the things that cannot be assessed via messages.
If after the initial face to face you still think you want to, then a site like ‘dayuse’ is useful.
